Breaking: Former ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star Rachel Leviss files revenge porn suit against Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix

Former “Vanderpump Rules” star Rachel Leviss has filed a lawsuit against Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix amid the fallout caused by “Scandoval,” accusing her ex-costars of eavesdropping, revenge porn, invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

“Leviss was a victim of the predatory and dishonest behavior of an older man, who recorded sexually explicit videos of her without her knowledge or consent, which were then distributed, disseminated, and discussed publicly by a scorned woman seeking vengeance, catalyzing the scandal,” according to court documents obtained by Variety.

The referred-to video clips, which are sexual in nature, were discussed during season 10 of the Bravo reality show and ultimately sparked what became known as “Scandoval.”

Leviss, 29, admitted to engaging in a secret affair with 41-year-old Sandoval, despite that fact that he’d been in a nearly decade-long relationship with her close friend, Ariana Madix. His infidelity was revealed when Madix said she accidentally saw one of the videos on her then-boyfriend’s phone. She allegedly then shared the footage with other “VPR” castmates.

The drama “went instantly viral and was the subject of extraordinary press coverage, even in the mainstream media,” the lawsuit reads.

“‘Scandoval’ injected new life into a previously faltering series, causing its viewership to explode to unseen levels and making its cast members mega-celebrities,” it continues. “Due to a narrative deliberately fomented by Bravo, Evolution, and the cast, Leviss became an object of public scorn and ridicule.”

Leviss also notes an occasion during which she confronted her paramour for secretly recording their private FaceTime calls, and then keeping the clips on his unprotected phone. She adds that the conversation left him so “rattled” that he “refused to leave her apartment,” according to the suit. In the end, Leviss says she called her sister and brother-in-law “to pick her up and drive her to their home.”

The lawsuit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court on Thursday, also takes aim at Bravo, NBCU and “Vanderpump Rules” producer Evolution Media. Leviss further claims she was “misled” by producers, who convinced her that her contract barred her from speaking about her treatment on the show.

“As a result, she suffered in silence as Bravo and Evolution watched viewership explode, and the rest of the cast enjoyed unseen levels of public recognition and professional opportunity,” the suit says.

In the wake of the cheating scandal, Madix was cast on season 32 of “Dancing With the Stars,” released her mixology book “Single AF Cocktails,” and landed the role of Roxie Hart in the Broadway production of “Chicago.”

Leviss declined to return “Vanderpump Rules” for season 11, while both Sandoval and Madix agreed to once again star in the series.
