Cardi B and Offset are the best-dressed duo in hip hop

Move over A$AP Rocky and Rihanna, Cardi B and Offset are absolutely killing when it comes to OTT power-dressing

January 2017 saw the release of “Lick”, the collaborative track between Offset and Cardi B. The following month the rappers were sighted at the Super Bowl and rumours circulated in the Twittersphere that the two were dating. That same year, while the world was obsessing over Cardi B’s first Billboard chart-topping single “Bodak Yellow”, the two secretly wed in Bronx-born Cardi’s bedroom, reportedly wearing matching tracksuits.

Five years on and more than three break ups (that we know of) between them later, the couple are going strong. The hip hop royals are easily the best-dressed duo in rap, putting even Jay-Z and Beyoncé and Rihanna and A$AP Rocky to shame when it comes to their sartorial efforts.

Whether it’s courtside at a Hawks versus Celtics match in Atlanta or on the streets during Paris Fashion Week, you can always count on Cardi B and Offset to make a splash. They’ve got a playful, OTT aesthetic that comprises ultra-fashionable looks from brands such as Balenciaga, Schiaparelli and Chanel.

Below is every instance when they “came through drippin’.”

  • “It’s very important for me to be involved in Paris Fashion Week because in like 2015, 2016 I wasn’t getting that many invites,” Cardi B told WWD last year, before she and Offset not just attended the Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2022 show, but walked the red carpet-cum-catwalk in the brand’s newest looks.

  • Couples who stay together wear matching Balenciaga Crocs, FYI. And Ye. Ye loves them too.

  • If there’s one woman who can take high-fashion house Schiaperelli to the streets it’s Cardi B. For an outing during Paris Fashion Week she was sighted in one of the couture house’s gold breastplates, ornate chain necklaces and a ginormous gold headpiece that doubles as kooky sunglasses. Add a leather-clad Offset to the mix and it’s no surprise these two commanded more attention than the designers showing on the catwalks that week.

  • Following a break in their relationship the newly-reconciled pair trod the Grammys red carpet together in 2019. Cardi wore an archival Mugler “Birth of Venus” design pulled straight from the label’s Autumn/Winter 1995 Couture collection, while Offset complemented the dramatic look in toned-down monochrome. That’s love.
